Je suis en France šŸ‡«šŸ‡·

Staying healthy whilst on holiday!

I’m currently in France šŸ‡«šŸ‡· and enjoying all that it has to offer, such as baguettes šŸ„– cheese šŸ§€ and lots of wine šŸ·. As fabulous as these things are, I also need to ensure that I don’t return to Blighty the size of a small planet.

So, first of all I’m doing this blog from afar to see if it actually works and I can upload it and secondly, to let you know what I’ve been doing to keep some resemblance of a fitness routine. By the way, if this does work then I’m relocating to La Belle France and will become a VA (Virtual Assistant) and an online fitness instructor šŸ˜Š.

First things I packed for holiday, being the saddo that I am, were my trainers so I’ve been  doing 5k every morning. Then, in a bid to preserve my muscles šŸ’ŖšŸ» so they don’t turn as soft as the Brie I’ve been scoffing, I’ve been doing this little routine below every other day.

Set 1:
16 x glute bridge
16 x press ups
30 seconds plank

Set 2:
10 x single leg glute bridge
30 seconds plank

Set 3:
10 x squats
10 x lateral raises
10 x triceps extension
10 x sit ups

Set 4:
12 x burpees
12 x squat thrusts
20 x high knees

I’ve also been on my bike and swimming. I know it sounds a bit grim when you’re supposed to be on holiday but I’m not the kind of gal to sit around all day and believe me, the French patisseries are taking a hit so I need to keep up some kind of exercise regime!  Mr Bob on the others hand thinks it’s hard work simply lifting the glass to his lips šŸ·. He has been on his bike though!
